Mary Spina Welcomes Evan Chizik and Outback into the World of Kiwanis


Kiwanis Club of Old Bridge President Mary Spina thanks Outback Steakhouse co-owner Evan Chizik for his and the restaurant’s generosity in hosting its December fundraising dinner. Outback, which sponsors several fundraisers for a number of different charities throughout the year in its budget, partnered with the Kiwanis Club of Old Bridge to make its affair a smashing success. The Kiwanis Club of Old Bridge raised $950 at the December dinner.

The Kiwanis Club of Old Bridge has begun to prove its place in benefitting Old Bridge. It has made charitable contributions to Make-A-Wish Foundation, Ronald McDonald House. Camp Robin, Township with a Heart, Old Bridge Adopt-an-Angel, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, the Old Bridge Food Bank, Camp Quality (for terminally ill children) and donated scholarships for Old Bridge students.

Under the tenure of President Mary Spina, the Kiwanis Club of Old Bridge has sponsored and created a Builder’s Club at Carl Sandburg Middle School and a newly formed Key Club at Old Bridge High School. Plans are in the works to include a Builder’s Club at Jonas Salk Middle School in the near future.

The Kiwanis Club of Old Bridge is very proud to accept Outback Steakhouse of Old Bridge as a partner in its desire to help children in the Old Bridge community. The club would like to acknowledge the tremendous generosity of co-owner Evan Chizik and the Outback organization.
